Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography

I had been looking forward to visiting the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography and it was easy to get there. From the train, it was a quick walk on the Skywalk - a long conveyor belt - almost all the way.

Japanese schoolboys on their way home. It seems the kids go
home from school on their own from a very early age.
The museum has no permanent exhibitions, but right now three, of which I chose to buy a ticket for two. (The third was an exhibition with pictures of dogs and cats ...).

The first (left above) was a really interesting exhibition called "Aesthetics of Photography" with sections specific to selected images in categories such as lighting, angle, developer, etc.

The other was a Japanese photographer - Tomoko Yoneda - with some interesting images.

In the same block as the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography - Yesebi garden - there is also a "View Tower" where I went into a turn and got a little better sense of how brutally big the city is.

The beer manufacturer Yesebi have a beer museum here, but no tours in English so I walked around a bit on my own and tried one of their fresh beers.
